About Julie Minc & Restorative Roots Yoga

Trauma-informed, consent-based support for sensitive bodies that is grounded in experience, education, and deep respect for your pace.

If you’ve been through chronic stress, illness, grief, trauma, or medical overwhelm, it makes sense if your body doesn’t respond well to being pushed. Restorative Roots was created to be a softer place to land, where nervous system safety comes first.

Why Restorative Roots Exists

Julie Minc created this practice because she saw how often sensitive bodies are harmed by wellness spaces that move too fast.

Many people arrive here after trying everything like therapy, traditional yoga, breathwork, exercise, “mindset work,” or “pushing through.” And still, the body feels braced, wired, exhausted, or shut down.

At Restorative Roots, we slow everything down. We prioritize consent, nervous system regulation, and support that feels doable, even on hard days.

You are not broken.

Julie Minc

is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (E-RYT 500), a continuing education provider (YACEP), and a Certified Life Coach. She came to yoga during a period of profound personal challenge, as she was navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and health struggles, and experienced firsthand how yoga can become a path of self-regulation, resilience, and reconnection.

Julie has spent the last 10 years serving our communities most vulnerable populations from addiction facilities, psychiatric hospitals, corrections facilities, Military facilities, and senior healthcare centers. She also has experienced her own trauma, grief, medical and mental health challenges throughout her life.

Julie developed the yoga therapy curriculum at a large psychiatric facility in Tampa. She spent time working at the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay as a Suicide Prevention Coordinator. She understands the importance of a compassionate, nonjudgmental, and supportive community perspective to help encourage individuals to keep showing up for themselves. RRY is here to help guide you along your journey to change your lifestyle for the long term as well as teach you the tools needed to adjust your routine on and off the mat. Let Julie help you achieve your goals you set for yourself and finally give yourself permission to let go of everything holding you back from living your best life!

Today, her work blends compassionate, trauma-informed guidance with extensive training to offer a calm, supportive experience that honors your body’s signals.
